Auf einen Blick

A clear 14-day rule

Ask within 14 days. Initial purchases are covered. Renewals are covered when Pro has not been meaningfully used after renewal.

  • Send the request from the account email to contact@pdfity.com within 14 calendar days of the charge.
  • Initial Pro purchases are eligible unless the account was used for fraud, abuse, or repeated refund cycling.
  • Renewal refunds require no meaningful Pro use and no daily limit overrun after the renewal charge.
  • Approved refunds are returned through Polar to the original payment method.

1. Request deadline

A refund request must reach contact@pdfity.com within 14 calendar days after the relevant charge. Include the pdfity account email and enough purchase information to locate the transaction. Do not send full card details.

A request received after 14 days is not eligible unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise or pdfity expressly approves an exception.

2. Initial purchase

The first paid Pro purchase for an account is eligible for a refund when requested within 14 days.

Eligibility may be refused for fraud, chargeback abuse, automated extraction, plan limit circumvention, material Terms violations, or repeated purchase and refund cycling.

3. Renewal charge

A monthly or annual renewal charge is eligible when the request is made within 14 days and the account has not meaningfully used Pro after that renewal.

For this policy, meaningful use means either more than two successfully completed Pro-only operations or more than 100 MB of aggregate input processed through Pro-only operations after the renewal time. Both measurements exclude failed and canceled jobs.

A renewal refund is also ineligible if the account attempts an operation after reaching an applicable daily product limit at least once during the refund window.

If reliable usage information is unavailable because of a service fault, pdfity will assess the request reasonably and in the customer’s favor where the facts are uncertain.

4. Cancellation is separate

Canceling stops future renewal but does not automatically refund an earlier charge. Request a refund separately within the 14-day period.

If a full refund is approved, Pro access may end immediately rather than at the end of the billing period.

5. Annual plans and partial periods

Eligible annual charges may be refunded in full under this policy. After the 14-day window, unused months are not prorated or refunded unless mandatory law requires it.

Downtime or a material service failure may be reviewed separately for a fair credit or refund, but short maintenance, a third-party outage, or a device-specific limitation does not automatically create refund eligibility.

6. Taxes, currency, and processing time

Polar is the Merchant of Record and processes approved refunds. Taxes are refunded when and to the extent handled by Polar and applicable law.

The refund is sent to the original payment method. Bank processing, exchange rates, and card network timing can affect when the amount appears and can cause a small currency difference outside pdfity’s control.

7. Chargebacks

Contact pdfity before starting a chargeback so the purchase can be reviewed promptly. A fraudulent or abusive chargeback may result in account suspension and preservation of the limited records needed to respond.

Nothing in this policy restricts a legal right to dispute a genuinely unauthorized transaction.

8. Mandatory rights

This policy does not reduce non-waivable consumer rights. If the law applicable to a purchase grants a longer cancellation period or another mandatory remedy, that rule prevails.
